8 Years and we’re hanging up the Cobra cap!

by COBRA SKULLS on December 19, 2013

This frosty month of December, 2013 marks eight years for Cobra Skulls playing shows! I am so proud of everything the band has done since its humble beginnings in Reno, NV. We have played with so many amazing bands all over the world, met so many wonderful people and have so many fond memories of our adventures in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia. So, it is with some sadness that we are announcing we are no longer going to be doing Cobra Skulls. We have other interests and projects, musical and otherwise that we want to pursue and in order to focus on those aspects of our lives we feel it is best to let Cobra Skulls be and move on. There are so many people we will miss seeing on the road and there are so many people we’d like to thank for helping making Cobra Skulls a reality. Thanks most of all to the friends and fans who have come out to our shows and made them worth playing! We love you and hope to see you around!

by COBRA SKULLS on September 9, 2013

The pre – order for the upcoming split 7″ with Larry and His Flask on Asian Man Records is now live. This is a one time pressing, limited to only 500 copies, and we aren’t touring much this year, so we strongly suggest taking advantage of this pre-order if you can!

new shows for 2013!

by COBRA SKULLS on August 26, 2013

Hey what’s the best part about a hiatus? Ending it! Finally, we’re officially, fer real this time, playing some shows again after far too long and we are stooooooooked. Yep, an entire 5 shows! Just going for the cream of the crop here, folks: Reno, San Francisco and of course, Gainesville, FL where we’re playing Fest for the 13th time. We’re also playing the first inception of the Pre-Fest this year, in Ybor (pronounced Eé-böer-aidono, look, it’s basically Tampa), FL. Can’t wait to get stinky earlier for longer this year. Woo Hoo! Wait, where’s the lucky 5th show?

Free Show Friday Jan. 25th at Fat Wreck Chords Store! 3-6 pm

by COBRA SKULLS on January 17, 2013

Next Friday will be our last show for a few months and it’s FREE! We’re mainly going to just hang out and ask Pat about his covert ops. in North Korea, but we will play a 30 minute set sometime between 3 and 6 pm. Fat has also pressed 100 copies of the Eagle Eyes 7″ single on an exclusive color only available at the store, so you gotta be there to get it! I heard a rumor that Fit Mike (that’s right, he’s getting into shape!) will be passing out PBRS, too!
Par-tay!

Happy 2013! We’re taking it easy!

by COBRA SKULLS on January 3, 2013

Our big news for 2013 is that we’re going to take a break from touring this year! (Hey, that’s big news for a band like us) We’ll probably play a few west coast shows over the next few months, but don’t expect us too far from home any time soon. We love our fans and we love playing shows, but it’s time to write, work, write and work. If this sound like bad news, please consider prospect of a new album out by the end of the year to be good news. Wink, wink, and a nudge nudge. Only show we have coming up for sure is in Anaheim on Jan. 18th with Social Distortion. Hope to see you SoCalers there! Peace out.

Punks in Vegas

by COBRA SKULLS on November 21, 2012

Punks in Vegas have been asking us to play acoustic for quite some time and we finally got around to it on our fall tour. We decided to do the entire Eagle Eyes 7″. Here ya go!

Eagle Eyes Video

by COBRA SKULLS on October 22, 2012

So we’ve been told we needed to make another proper video and though even the thought of a music video in itself can be a total drag, we actually had fun making this one and we even think it turned out pretty great. Hope you enjoy!

Eagle Eyes

by COBRA SKULLS on August 22, 2012

Today we are thrilled to announce that our new single, Eagle Eyes, is coming out Oct 9th on 7″ and in digital format as well. There are two songs on the B-side and we’re really happy with how it all turned out. It reminds me a little of our older material, but it also feels like we could be getting into some new territory. It’s the first stuff we’ve recorded with Tony, who sang all the back-ups and truly shredded the guitar. Be on the lookout to pre-order it from Fat Wreck Chords soon. Hope you check it out and enjoy!
